RTAC asks for interest on pension errors.
January 10, 2008
Due to the errors made by the People Soft payroll system, many new retriees are receiving considerably less than the amount that they are entitled to receive.  CPS has promised to provide corrected data to CTPF in the near future.  When the correct data is finally received and verified by CTPF, a check representing a retroactive correction will be issued.

At the January 9, 2008 RTAC Board of Directors' meeting a motion was made and passed to send a letter to the CTPF requesting that CTPF compute the interest owed recent retirees due to the errors in the earnings records provided by CPS.  Additionally, since the CTPF cannot legally pay interest on such errors, the motion included the provision that the CTPF bill CPS and asks that CPS pay the interest.

We wait with anticipation the CPS response.
