Comments: The e-mail alert that I got and the note on the web site both said the office was moving and would be closed from 2/1 until 2/7 and that the new number would not be available until 2/7. Sometime earlier this week the home page was changed and had the new number and address.
Have either of you sent SPECIFIC suggestions to the webmaster as to what changes you would like to see? A couple of months ago I sent the idea for an archive page to simplify finding the most current information and it was implemented. I don't know what the current arrangements with Mr. Coleman are but the previous webmaster (VK Brown) did the web stuff pro bono (i.e. no compensation). Normally maintaining an active site is very time consuming (and costly).
Comments: RTAC is moving right now so try calling them next week. Moving is hard work and the phones may be down for a bit.
Also, I agree with a previous post. Many things on this website are very old and irrelavent. It makes finding the important information more difficult. We need to be able to access current information quickly.
How about cleaning and organizing the website? We should have a central place to get the current legislative information that we need. We are under attack everywhere. We will soon see harmful pension changes being passed. Let's get better organized with a more relevant website..

Comments: According to the phone company, the phone number listed on the RTAC website has been changed to 312-750-1522. I called the changed number at 11:00 AM on Friday morning, 2/1/13 and it rang with no answer; there was no voicemail message with information on office hours or options to leave a voice message. There are no office hours listed on the RTAC website. It's embarrassing to me as a retired Chicago teacher to stumble upon such inefficiency. Please update with current technology. Now I'm not sure I want to join. I also have little faith that my email will be read. Embarrassed.

Comments: SOME OF THE FEATURED ARTICLES ON THE RTAC WEBSITE ARE OVER A YEAR OLD! PLEASE UPDATE THE WEBSITE. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT MEASURES ARE BEING PLANNED THAT WILL AFFECT THE FINANCIAL WELL-BEING OF ALL RETIRED TEACHERS AND WE NEED UPDATED INFORMATION.

Comments: In the upcoming November election, a constitutional amendment will be proposed. The proposal will require approval of a 3/5th vote of the General Assembly to authorize a new benefit or an enhancement to a benefit. Will this amendment result in state legislators deciding whether or not pensioners need an AAI or COLA adjustment to their annual pensions? What is your position on the proposed constitutional amendment?
