The RTAC Florida Southeast Satellite held its Annual Luncheon on March 6, 2015 at the Blue Moon Diner, Cooper City Florida. A lively group of 20 snowbird retirees came together for fellowship and updates. Dr. Walter Pilditch served as our guest speaker, sharing information regarding the Pension Fund as well as current legislative issues. Retirees could then submit questions which Dr. Pilditch very capably answered. All attendees were encouraged to maintain contact with their legislators regarding vital issues and legislation geared toward strengthening our Fund. An enjoyable and informative afternoon in the sunshine state was had by all. If others would like to join us for next year’s Luncheon, contact RTAC which can put you in touch with us.

The Southwest Florida Chapter met on February 24, 2015
Once again the SW Chapter of RTAC had a successful luncheon at the Country Creek, Creekside Restaurant in Estero on Feb. 24, 2015. Walter Pilditch brought us up to date on current Retirement issues. It is always good to catch up on such issues. Alice Macready celebrated her 97th birthday with us! We had a great group of 39 teachers with several new faces this year. Our date for next year has been set. Our annual luncheon will be held at the same location on Tuesday, February 23, 2016. Put the date on your calendar now. The Southeast Florida Chapter met on March 11, 2014
The Southeast Florida satellite met at the Blue Moon Diner on Tuesday, March 11, 2014. They enjoyed a lovely meal and one another’s fellowship. In addition, Walter Pilditch did a special presentation on pension concerns relevant to retired Chicago public school educators. A similar event is being planned for March 2015. Contact and date/time specific information will be provided at a later date.

The SW Florida RTAC satellite group enjoyed a luncheon at the Country Creek, Creekside Restaurant on Feb. 25, 2014. Walter Pilditch provided information about retired Chicago educators’ concerns to the 38 attendees. The 2015 event will be held at the same location on Tuesday, February 24, 2015.
